To access Google Merchant Center, open the official Merchant Center website and sign in with a Google account that has permission to the business’s Merchant Center account.
Being able to sign in to Google is not the same as having access to a particular merchant account. If the catalog is missing, check the email address and account ID before starting a new setup.
Start from the official service
Use Google’s Merchant Center entry point rather than a login page linked from an unsolicited message.
If several Google accounts are active in your browser, check the selected identity. A personal account, a company account, and an agency account may have different permissions.
A private browser window can help you test with a single known identity, but it does not grant additional access.
Confirm the account you opened
Compare the Merchant Center ID and business details with an existing record from your team.
A familiar business name alone may not be enough if duplicates or old test accounts exist. Check the domain and whether the expected products and services are present.
Once confirmed, bookmark the relevant official account page for your own use.
If the account is not available
Ask an existing administrator to invite your correct Google account. Have them confirm the account ID and the access level being granted.
Accept the invitation using the intended identity. If the invitation remains pending, investigate the invite and recipient rather than sharing someone else’s password.
For managed Google Workspace identities, access may also depend on organization settings.
If you forgot your password
Use Google’s supported account recovery process. A Merchant Center administrator cannot recover your Google password for you.
If the business depends on one person’s inaccessible Google account, document the ownership situation and follow the appropriate support and recovery routes.
Do not create a new merchant account before understanding the original account’s domain claim and connected services.
If the screen shows an error
Record the exact message and whether the problem occurs before or after Google sign-in.
A missing permission, a Workspace restriction, and a service incident require different responses. Test only enough to classify the problem; repeated account creation is unlikely to help.
Never send a password, recovery code, or authentication token in a support conversation.
